Welcome to California Wayfaring! I’m Julie and I’m a travel blogger and public speaker. My blog features great escapes in the Golden State. It covers all things urban, nature, and food. If you want to know a bit more about me, read on.
Background
I grew up in California’s Silicon Valley in a town called Portola Valley. After leaving my home state to study International Relations at Brown University in Rhode Island, I came back and moved to San Francisco. I started my career in finance, during which I worked as an analyst for Goldman Sachs and a hedge fund.
In 2007, I moved to London and launched an award-winning global travel blog called A Lady in London. It became a career in 2010 and it’s taken me to over 100 countries.
I lived in London full-time for 15 years. In 2022, I started the California Wayfaring blog and began splitting my time between the UK capital and California.
